Refunds and cancellations
Return, Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last updated: June 18, 2026. This policy explains how refunds, cancellations, duplicate payments, revisions, direct payments, Upwork contracts, custom digital service deliverables, and non-physical returns are handled.
DataCrawlPro sells custom digital services, not ready-made physical products. There are no physical returns for shipped goods. Refunds are reviewed fairly based on payment status, agreed scope, work already performed, delivery status, source feasibility, and platform rules.
Who this policy applies to
- This policy applies to DataCrawlPro website scraping risk audits, web scraping projects, data extraction work, Python scraping scripts, automation support, and related digital deliverables.
- DataCrawlPro is a full-time freelance service brand operated directly by Prashant Patil. It is not a registered company, large agency, big team, or hidden outsourcing team.
- A written quote, Upwork contract, milestone agreement, or request workspace note may add project-specific refund, revision, or cancellation terms.
Before payment
- Submitting a request does not create a payment obligation. Prashant reviews feasibility, scope, price, and timeline before asking for payment.
- You should review the agreed scope, output format, delivery type, deadline, and price before paying.
- If DataCrawlPro declines a request before payment because it is not feasible, not authorized, legally risky, or outside scope, no refund is needed because no payment should be captured for that work.
Eligible refunds
- Duplicate payments, accidental overpayments, and confirmed failed-service payments are eligible for review and refund to the original payment method where the provider supports it.
- If you cancel before meaningful work starts, an approved full or near-full refund may be issued, minus any non-recoverable payment-provider fees where applicable.
- If work has started but no final deliverable has been provided, a partial refund may be considered based on work already completed, research time, setup, source review, samples, and communication effort.
- If DataCrawlPro cannot deliver the agreed core scope for reasons within its control, a full or partial refund may be offered depending on what was delivered and what remains unresolved.
Non-refundable or limited-refund cases
- Completed custom digital work is generally non-refundable after delivery if it matches the agreed scope, because the work is custom research, code, data, reporting, or setup effort.
- A change of mind after approval, a new requirement after work starts, or a different use case after delivery does not automatically qualify for a refund.
- Refunds may be denied or limited if the client gave incomplete instructions, lacked authorization, requested prohibited work, delayed required access, changed source requirements, or used the deliverable outside the agreed scope.
- Third-party website changes, blocks, downtime, data removals, login restrictions, anti-abuse controls, or source policy changes may affect delivery and will be handled according to the quote or milestone terms.
Revisions before refunds
- If a delivered file, report, script, or dataset does not match the agreed scope, DataCrawlPro should be given a reasonable chance to fix or revise it first.
- Bug fixes for delivered Python scripts are handled according to the agreed scope, supported environment, sample input, and support period in the quote.
- New fields, new websites, larger volumes, extra automation, proxy infrastructure, login flows, or output changes may require a new quote instead of a refund.
Payment channels
- DataCrawlPro does not store payment card details. Website checkout is paused; Upwork or the agreed direct payment method handles payment instruments.
- Approved direct refunds are normally returned through the original payment method where possible. Payment provider and bank timelines apply after initiation.
- Upwork contracts, milestones, escrow, disputes, and refunds follow Upwork platform rules and the specific Upwork contract terms.
- Manual payment confirmations, if approved, are reviewed case by case and may require proof of payment before any refund action.
Refund timing
- DataCrawlPro aims to review refund requests within 3 business days after receiving enough information to identify the request and payment.
- Approved direct refunds are usually initiated within 5 to 7 business days. The actual bank, card, UPI, wallet, or provider credit time may take longer.
- Refunds cannot be guaranteed for requests where payment provider rules, bank rules, platform dispute processes, fraud checks, or legal requirements prevent or delay processing.
How to request a refund
- Email contact@datacrawlpro.com with your request ID, payment ID if available, payment date, email used for the request, and the reason for the refund request.
- Do not send card numbers, passwords, OTPs, private keys, or unnecessary sensitive data in a refund request.
- For faster review, include the project workspace link or Upwork contract reference if your payment was connected to a platform contract.
